Obituary of Rashee Terron Taylor

Please share a memory of Rashee to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Rashee Terron Taylor was born on April 20, 1973 in Chicago, Illinois. He was one of four children born from the union of his parents the late Stanley McKibbins and Dorothy Taylor. Rashee obtained his GED and moved from Chicago to Monroe in 1993. Here, he spent most of his time working as a volunteer for local churches. He was a man of god and received his spiritual nourishment by attending church at Second Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe.

Rashee was quite the jokester and loved to make people around him laugh. He had a great personality which made it easy for him to make friends, especially the ladies.  He loved dogs, enjoyed dancing and cooking. He was an avid football fan and enjoyed watching his favorite team: the Chicago Bears.

Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his niece and nephew, whom he loved dearly. Known by everyone as the “Kid Whisperer,” he loved baby-sitting many children in his neighborhood. His big heart, energetic personality and kind soul will be missed by all who knew him.

Rashee Terron Taylor, age 44, of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly on March 7, 2018 at Promedica Monroe Hospital. His passing is preceded by his father Stanley McKibbins and his aunt Debra Taylor.

To cherish his memory, he leaves his beloved mother: Dorothy (Johnnie) Edwards; his sisters: Shantell Taylor and Sharhonda Taylor; his brother: Roderick Taylor; his nephew: Bradley Montague, Jr.; his niece: Moniqia Overstreet and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends.

Rashee will lie in state on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 11:00am until a Celebration of His Life at 1:00pm at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 501 Clark Street, Monroe 48161 with Pastor Allen C. Overton to officiate. Burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle immediately following the service. Arrangements were entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, 14567 South Dixie Hwy., Monroe, 48161 (734) 241-7070.
