Thayer "T.J." Douglas Stump Jr.
October 12, 1994 - February 8, 2013
Thayer "T.J." Douglas Stump, Jr. was born in Monroe, Michigan on October 12, 1994. He was the son of Thayer Douglas Stump Sr. and Kelly Duvall. T.J. was a 2012 graduate of Airport Community Schools.
T. J. was funny, friendly, and outgoing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and he was always the life of any party. He adored his brother, sister, and especially his niece.
T.J. wasn't afraid of hard work. Recently, he had taken employment with Manpower and was employed as a factory laborer. He was an avid outdoorsman; enjoying hunting, fishing, and had served as a scorekeeper for Frenchtown Softball. T.J. was also very artistic. He had a passion for listening to rap music, and he used this to compose his own tracks. T.J. enjoyed playing video games in his free time, was a fan of United Fight Club matches, and had even performed security work for Mixed Martial Arts events.
Thayer "T.J." Douglas Stump, Jr. age 18 of Newport passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning, February 8, 2013 in Monroe.
To cherish his memory he leaves parents: Kelly (Jerry Gorman) Duvall of Newport and Thayer Douglas Stump Sr. of Monroe; his maternal grandparents: Thomas (Wanda) Duvall of Monroe; paternal grandparents: Deb (Mark) Anderson of Monroe; two great grandmothers: Janet Duvall of Monroe and and Novella Sulfridge of Tawas, MI; a sister: Autumn Nicole Duvall; a brother: Hunter Thomas Stump; a niece: Khloe Elizabeth Dionne; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 8:00pm on Monday, February 11, 2013 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of His Life will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, also at Merkle's. The Reverend Roy Southerland pastor of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Procession will follow to St. Joseph Cemetery in Monroe for burial.
