Melanie Lee Tapley
Melanie Lee Tapley was born in Tampa, Florida on July 8, 1987. She was the daughter of Billie Bain and Lisa (Valerio) Hoffman. She was raised by her step-father: Andrew Ziegler. Melanie attended Erie Mason High School.
Melanie had a wonderful personality. She was bubbly, had tons of energy, and very talkative. Melanie enjoyed sharing her life with anyone and everyone. She loved listening to music and liked many different genres; artists from Guns and Roses to Tupac Shakur. Melanie loved animals, and she was especially a dog lover. She was very religious and regularly read her two Bibles.
Melanie Lee Tapley, age 25 of Toledo passed away at her home unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Her passing was preceded by her great grandparents: Ruth and Clarence Ellison; grandfather: Donald Valerio Sr.; and three uncles: Jason Valerio, Gary Bomia, and John Ellison.
To cherish her memory she leaves her parents: Lisa Hoffman of Toledo and Andrew Ziegler of Erie who helped to raise her; three brothers: Shaun (Sam) Ziegler and Rush Ziegler both of Erie, and Jason Spaulding of Adrian; two half-sisters: Karen and Becky of Florida; one half-brother: Donald of Florida; aunts and uncles: Donald Valerio Jr. of LaSalle, Tina Bomia of Monroe, and Jamie (Steve) Spaulding of Adrian, Melinda Carpenter of Monroe, Sandy (Joe) Albain of Monroe; Melissa (Jeff) Doom of Erie, Mike (Debra) Ellison of Monroe, Phillip (Pat) Ellison of Chicago; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 7:00pm, Monday, February 4, 2013 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Her Life will take place at 7:00pm. Cremation will follow through Roselawn Memorial Park Crematory and inurnment will take place at the cemetery at 2:00pm, Wednesday, February 6, 2013
