Obituary of Trula Drummonds

Mrs. Trula Elgie Drummonds, age 85 of Monroe, was born September 9, 1927 and passed away on November 29, 2012 at her home. She was a member of Myers Grove Baptist Church in Claiborne County, Tennessee. Her passing was preceded by her husband, Ewing Drummonds; her step-son, Donald Drummonds; parents, Curtis and Nellie Watson; brothers, Olin JR Watson, Fleenor Watson, Reece Watson, Colston Watson, Harrison Watson, Carson Watson, Nolan Watson; infant brother, Ual Watson; infant sister, Pansy Mable Watson; sisters, Lisa K. Wilcox and Eula Gray Widner. She is survived by her grandchildren: Callie M. Drummonds of Bolin, Michigan, Robin Drummonds of Monroe; several great-grandchildren; brother, Beazer Watson of New Tazewell, Tennessee; sisters, Cecil Groves of New Tazewell, Jewel and Joe Bull of Tazewell, Thema (Homer) Neeley, Blanche and Denver Killion of Riceville, Tennessee. Friends and family may gather from 2pm until 6pm at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 N. Monroe St. (734)384-5185. The family will also receive friends from 4pm until 7pm, Monday, December 3, 2012 at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell, Tennessee with a Celebration of Her Life to follow at 7pm, Monday night in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial at 11:00am, Tuesday, December 4, 2012 in the Drummonds Cemetery. Reverend Dallas Harrell will officiate. The pallbearers will be: Hoy Watson, Christopher Watson, Roy Simmons, David Hollen, Andy Capnich, and Dale Watson.
