I see that Mark has shared yet another bit of wisdom. He reminds us that our time is both precious and brief, as well as that we need to make the most of it. Mark shared a lot over that backyard fence he and my son shared, and I enjoyed every moment of our conversations. Although this may be a time of renewed sorrow, rest assured that Mark is alive and well. While bodies fail, our souls live on. Be of good cheer... you will meet again. Mark, I'll be seeing you and we can finish that chat of ours.

Stephanie, I was shocked to hear of your dads passing. I'm an old friend of your dads. I worked with him at Budweiser and have known him for many years. We were good friends a long time ago, even lived together for a couple years in the late 80's on Lake Orion. We had a riot. Back in those days the Cowboy faze was going around and it was perfect for your dad and I. We wore our cowboy hats and boots everywhere. Lot of laughs and fun. Although I haven't seen him for many years, i will miss him! I'm very sorry to hear of your mothers passing as well. Somehow along the line i became his Godfather as well. He was baptised and I'm sure he is among good company. I often wondered what had become of him and his whole new life. The pictures tell a thousand stories. The Obit was right on as I remember, especially his laugh! I have some pictures I would love to share with you if you want. I hope this finds it's way to you. I could send them to you if you like. Deepest regrets, Tom O'Dwyer Lake Orion

I remember this vividly,it was during christmas season 2009, i was with MC & KC on the very day of this picture, i took the picture as a matter of fact & it is one of my favorite! We had kiche for dinner & we talked for hours, joked, laughed! Mark use to call himself a freak of nature cause i was always telling him to quit smoking being their natural health friend & massage therapist & thats was his reply: "im a freak of nature J" so many great memories with this 2 magnificent souls, i will forever be grateful & happy i got to meet them,be part of their life & them of mine be friends with them & experience hardships too! (like the loss of KC) Friends are there when needed & when not needed... I love you & i miss you so!

Stephanie, what a handsome, fun man your father looked to be. I am so, so sorry for your loss. It certainly has come much too soon. I pray he will be by your side daily in spirit and guiding all your decisions as you move forward. I send you love and strength and courage.

Mark Carter's passing came much to early. His twinkling eyes, entertaining stories, keen observations and varied experiences contributed to his dynamic presence. He was a good friend and neighbor, and a man you could trust. Mark will be greatly missed, having left his personal stamp on those he knew. What has happened is out of human hands. As much as we would like, we cannot bring Mark back. The good news is that Mark's broken heart is now healed as he is reunited with his beloved wife. Mark, Godspeed to you. May your family find comfort with the passage of time and God's gentle love. We will miss you.
