Obituary of Virginia Wyzorowski

Please share a memory of Virginia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Virginia Elizabeth Terlikowski was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 6, 1929. She was the daughter, and one of two children, born from the union of the late Walter Terlikowski and the late Anna (Augustniak) Terlikowski. Virginia lost her mother at the age of three and several years later went to live with her aunt and uncle who raised her. She married the love of her life Leonard John Wyzorowski at St. Casmer Church in Detroit on August 2, 1947. Throughout the years, Virginia, had worked some odd jobs outside the home; first, and foremost, however, was her responsibility as a homemaker to her husband and mother of her four children. Virginia was small in stature, but she was feisty through and through. To many of the Wyzorowski children's friends she was a second mother. Virginia loved spending time with her family and cherished her grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, playing cards, loved to swim, and also knitting blankets and afghans. For many years as Leonard's health deteriorated she was his loving caretaker. Virginia Elizabeth Wyzorowski age 82 of Flat Rock passed away at 11:27am, Thursday, September 27, 2012 at her home. In addition to her parents and her husband on July 28, 2012 her passing was preceded by a brother: Daniel Terlikowski. To cherish her memory she leaves four children: Constance (Bob) Weber of Kingman, Arizona, Lenore Sisk of Brownstown, Douglas (Linda) Wyzorowski of Ventura, California and Norman (Brenda) Wyzorowski of Panama City Beach, Florida; a sister-in-law: Gertrude Beyer-Tonkik; eleven grandchildren: Shalene, Richard, Cynthia, Kevin, Jeff, Cheridy, Shane, Bridget, Jessie, Andrea, and Nathan; and nineteen great grandchildren. Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 5:00pm, Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185.
