Obituary of Myrtle Stoll

Myrtle Rose Krueger was born in LaSalle, Michigan on February 10, 1924. She was one of twelve children born from the union of the late William J. and Rosa (Bomia) Krueger Sr.
Myrtle married Blaise Beaubien on May 3, 1947 in Toledo, Oho, from this union came two children. After Blaise passed unexpectedly, Myrtle married Kenneth Stoll on June 15, 1957 at Grace Lutheran Church and together raised a blended family.
Myrtle was very outgoing; she kept busy by participating in many activities with her husband. They often hosted parties and entertained others with her excellent cooking skills. Myrtle and Kenneth were very fond of dancing, taking up square and ballroom dance. As a couple, they loved to bowl, golf, and camp. Myrtle and her husband enjoyed being snow birds for many years, traveling from Traverse City, Michigan to North Fort Myers, Florida until settling back in Monroe in 2005.
Myrtle was a member of Grace Lutheran Church participating with the Ladies Society and Altar Guild. She most recently was a volunteer at The Lutheran Home and earned the Volunteer of the Year award in 2012. She was also a member of Monroe Center for Healthy Aging.
Myrtle Rose Stoll, age 90, of Monroe passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 14, 2014 in Monroe. In addition to her parents, her passing was preceded by her loving husband of fifty years: Kenneth Stoll; six brothers: William Krueger Jr., Ralph Krueger, Arthur Krueger, Harold Krueger, Fred "Fritz" Krueger and Arnold Krueger; five sisters: Edith Norton, Hazel Friemark, Ethel Waldvogel, Alice Woolace, and Grace Au; a son: Dean Beaubien; infant twin daughters at birth; and a stepson: George Stoll.
To cherish her memory she leaves her son: Jerry (Brenda) Beaubien of Culebra, Puerto Rico; two daughter-in-laws: Phyllis Beaubien of Virginia and Cheryl Stoll of Florida, eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 8:00pm on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. Myrtle will lie in state from 10:00am until a Funeral Service at 11:00am on Friday, September 19, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church, 630 North Monroe with Pastor Mark Witte officiating. Procession will follow to Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle for burial.
