I knew Dave in high school - I lived around the corner on Katherine and we rode the same crowded bus to school. He used to save me a seat - such a sweet guy. Condolences to Dave's family.

So sad to hear of Daves passing. He was a friend of ours growing up in Taylor. He served as groomsman at our wedding. He was a man of integrity and I know he loved his family.

To the family of David Prylo:
I had the honor and privilege of working with Dave on a daily basis for 2+ years at US Steel. I was profoundly sadden when I was notified of Dave's untimely passing. Please know that Dave will be remembered as a true safety professional, a mentor to many (including me), and most importantly a friend. During the tough times, Dave could put a smile on our faces. Dave's legacy will live on through all of people that he touched, trained, and mentored over the course of his career. I know Heaven is a safer place now with Dave there! Rest in peace my friend! You will be missed but never forgotten! I will not be able to attend the visitation or funeral, so I made a donation to the National Safety Council in the memory of David Anthony Prylo to honor his legacy.

I would like to express my condolences to the family of David Prylo. Dave was a tireless USW safety and health advocate representing the members of Local 1299. I was the Safety Coordinator at Granite City Steel and had the privilege working with Dave on several safety audits we conducted at Great Lakes Steel. Because of Dave's efforts many injuries and fatalities have been prevented. Rest In Peace Dave and I'm proud to call you a Brother USW Member.

I am so sorry for your loss, and my prayers are with the whole family at this very sad passing.
I was a turn manager that had the pleasure of working with David when he was a scarfer at the 80" hot mill. There were many times Dave helped me out when I was a supervisor, and sometimes needed help and advice when I was new to supervision and trying to learn the ropes of a new and challenging job.
Dave's help was very much appreciated when I myself became sick and had to have my colon removed, and had to take a medical retirement. If not for the help and advice I don't know if I could have left the job at the time I did.
Rest In Peace my friend. You deserve it !!!!
