Janet Kay Leck was born in Lincoln Park, Michigan on March 26, 1965. She was the only child a daughter born from the union of the late Ernest Bolton and the late and Jacqueline Rita (Myre) Bolton. Janet attended Wyandotte Schools and graduated in from their high school in 1983.
For many years, Janet worked as a general laborer for several different manufacturers. Her employment included Ace Paper, Pack Right Industries, and Zero Industries. Several years ago Janet took a medical retirement.
After a several year courtship she married Raymond F. Leck on May 8, 1998 in Toledo, Ohio.
As a person, Janet was kind hearted and generous. She cherished the opportunity to help others. Janet's helpfulness extended to her neighbors as she often served as a caretaker and babysitter for the local children. She enjoyed going out to dinner and attending movies. Her favorite movies were comedies. Janet also enjoyed concerts and she never missed the chance to see her favorite band Alabama.
Janet Kay Leck age 47 of Newport passed away at 1:11am, Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Mercy Memorial Hospital of Monroe. Her passing was preceded by her parents.
To cherish her memory she leaves her former husband Raymond Leck of Newport; three step-children: Nicole (Chris) Browsky of Riverview, Cheryl Leck of Lincoln Park, and Raymond F. Leck II of Sault Ste Marie; three step-grandchildren: Alayah Browsky, Savannah Leck, and Keith Leck; and a close friend: Debbie Turrentine of Newport.
Cremation has taken place through Toledo Memorial Park Crematory in Sylvania, Ohio. A private memorial service is being planned. Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 394-5185 was entrusted with her arrangements.
