Dear Bob, we're so sorry for the loss of your dear dad. Your dad and mom were the best friends (and next-door neighbors) anyone could ask for, and your dad's shared history from school days on with our parents holds many good memories. I always admired his beautiful garden, too, and to-date, haven't met anyone who grew a better crop of delicious raspberries like he did! Be assured that you are all in our prayers.

Emil was always a warm and loving godfather to me and i am sad that he is gone. When I was a child and we lived next door, he helped take care of me everyday after school until mom or dad came home. One of the things I remember was his chiding of Bob, Tom and my brother Jim to let me be the '4th' in back yard basketball. They never resisted, always inclued me and were very patient. This taught me a lot. Since I live out of town, our recent we visits were only by telephone, but he always welcomed my calls and liked to chat about his family. My memories of him will always make me smile.

Bob, I was truly saddened to hear about your dad. Lots of memories growing up next door, watching him grow his incredible garden every year, the backyard barbecues. You need to know he touched many lives and will be missed.

We are very sorry to hear of Emil's passing. He was a wonderful man and we enjoyed sitting with him and all of you at the family dinners over at Sterling House. God be with you and your family at this time.
