Obituary of Debbra Maiden

Debbra Kay Maiden was born in Monroe, Michigan on December 15, 1959. She was the daughter of Stirl Maiden and Roberta (Stanfill) Maiden of Jeffersonville, Kentucky.
Debbra was the co-owner of Maiden's Cleaning Service for many years with her sister Tammy. She was employed by Monroe Boat Club and had been attending classes at Monroe County Community College, where she had earned her LPN Certificate and had been planning to start classes at MCCC in the fall to become a registered nurse.
Debbra was a perfectionist who loved garage sales and spending time with her daughters, family and friends. She also loved motorcycle riding, gardening and hunting for arrowheads.
Debbra Kay Maiden, age 49, of Monroe passed away at 12:07 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2009 at Detroit Receiving Hospital. Her passing was preceded by a brother, Stirl Jr.
Besides her parents, she leaves to cherish her memory; three daughters: Anjaya, April and Andrea "Annie" VanSlambrouck; two sisters: Martha (Roger) Wilkinson of Texas, and Tammy Hensley of South Rockwood; two brothers: Tony (Shannon) Maiden of Jeffersonville, KY, and Tommy (Becky) Maiden of Owingsville, KY.; as well as many friends and nieces and nephews.
Friends may gather at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185 from 1:00 - 8:00 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2009 with a scripture service at 2:00 p.m. Friends may also gather Sunday, May 24 from 1:00 p.m until a Celebration of Her Life at 2:00 p.m. also at Merkle Funeral Service. Pastor Harold Raines will officiate.
