Arlene Rose Krueger was born on June 8, 1926 in Monroe, Michigan. She was the only daughter born from the union of the late George and the late Eda (Fischer) Krueger. Arlene was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Monroe, where she received her spiritual nourishment for nearly sixty years. Arlene supported her family through employment with Franklin Homes in Monroe. She worked in sales for the park for about thirty years, finally taking retirement in 2002 as the park manager. Arlene adored her family. She cherished every moment during times spent together, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Arlene loved to cook for her loved ones, and occasionally experimented with new recipes. Arlene was an avid TY Beanie Baby collector. In her free time, she enjoyed playing various types of card games and going on trips to area casinos. Arlene Rose Ferguson, age 90 of Monroe, went home to be with the Lord at 9:08pm on Sunday, February 19, 2017. In addition to the passing of her parents, she was preceded by her daughters: Cynthia Poff and Gayle Shaw; brothers: Herbert, George, Milton and Norman Krueger; and sisters-in-law: Zella, Selma, Virginia and Nelda Jean Krueger. To cherish her memory, Arlene leaves two daughters: Linda (Andrew) Bodi and Denise (Ronald) Watkins, both of Monroe; a son: Marc (Theresa) Ferguson of Monroe; son-in-law: David Shaw of Monroe; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Friends may gather on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 2:00pm to 8:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe, 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe (734)384-5185. She will lie in state on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 10:00am until a funeral service beginning at 11:00am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 323 Scott Street, Monroe with Pastor Jeffrey Heimsoth and Pastor Daniel Potts officiating.
