Obituary of Sue Donakowski

Sue Ellen Donakowski passed away at 10:00am, Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Magnumcare of Monroe. Born August 19, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan she was the daughter of the late Adam R. Lyle and the late Helen Marie (Maiers) Lyle. Sue was a 1961 graduate of Dearborn Edsel Ford. She was married to Ronald Mott and later married Norbert Donakowski. For many years she worked as a Proof Operator for the banking industry and retired from Fidelity Bank of Dearborn in 2006.
To cherish her memory she leaves a loving son: Mike Mott and (Ann Litwin) of Monroe; a beloved brother: Richard (Jean) Lyle of Escanaba, MI, a former daughter-in-law: Elizabeth Mott, whom she was especially close to; one niece: Debbie; two nephews: Bobby and Kevin; and dear friends: Judy Clay and Gerry Vaughn.
She was proud of her recovery and membership of Alcoholics Anonymous for the past thirty years. Sue was a huge fan of the Detroit Red Wings. She liked to travel "Up North" and visiting Traverse City. Sue was also an excellent cook and she had many specialties.
Friends are invited Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 9:30am to St. Albert the Great in Dearborn Heights, 4855 Parker Street for a memorial service in her honor. For those who desire memorials are suggested to AA of Greater Detroit or the Michigan Humane Society.
