Dearest Bob, Erin, Katheryn, and Ron, We have always adored and loved you all. May Jesus' arms hold you close to Him as we thank God for the privilege of knowing and loving your Mother and wife, Debi.We remember her strong faith in God, even when times were so difficult. One time she had been in the hospital, and we went to visit her, expecting her to be so ill. Yet there Debi was, ready to minister and encourage us. Indeed, she was a precious servant of the Lord, loving her family and friends to the utmost! We have been so blessed by the love and character of the Ryono family. We have never seen someone so involved in the community as Debi. We first met Debi when she wrote an article on our moisture in our home's foundation. Little did we know that God had a plan for us to know the fabulous Ryono family so well!We smile when we think of Debi's zest and love of life!Indeed, Debi wiil always live in our hearts and minds as a phenomenal example of true stewardship to others! Debi truly loved others unselfishly and earnestly. We pray for you, Bob, as you must go on without your sweetheart. We pray for God's strength for you. Erin, we give thanks for all the great memories that we have shared with you. We are so proud of you! Katheryn, we pray for you and we are so proud of you, as well! Please let us know if there is any thing that we can do! You all have been a rich blessing to our lives. May the Lord strengthen you and comfort you in the days ahead. We cherish the memories and awesome times that we shared with you and your family!Thank you, Lord, for Debi and for her entire family! Help us, Lord, for strength in the days ahead! Love in Christ, Charlie and Diane

I am so sorry to hear of Debi's passing. I was able to renew our friendship when she was in California. Imagine my delight when she came up to me at an event and said, "Did you go to Trinity"? I then realized who she was and it was like old home week. Debi told me that my Mother was her Sunday School teacher. I was so touched by her kind words about my Mom. Debi was a wonderful and talented person and she will be missed. May God grant you His peace at this sad time.

Debi was such a dedicated and caring person. The Moorpark Star was the best there was when she was writing for it. She was someone who could always be counted on and never refused whenever she was asked for assistance. I was fortunate to get to know Debi while at Moorpark High. My prayers and thoughts are with her family.

My memories date back to early meetings at Moorpark Presbyterian Church when Debi was the Leader for a group called 'Pioneer Girls'. In the midst of what seemed like about a hundred girls under the age of 12, I remember she was so calm and considerate in explaining the reason for meeting and the handing out of assignments. Her gentle nature was displayed in numerous service oriented events throughout the years at MPC, Women's Fortnightly Club Meetings, Editor at the Ventura Star, Moorpark Historian and MPC Historian. Even though she was in pain from various illnesses and surgeries, she was always positive and determined to attend services. Debi took great pride in her family. She was a pleasure to know.

Dear Family of Debi, I am an old neighbor of Bobby's from Playa del Rey. I would like to say how wonderfully she took care of Bobby and that as an old family friend, I appreciated it very much. I am so sad that he has lost a beautiful wife and soulmate. I am sure that I speak for the rest of my family as well, Jeanne and Marc. Our prayers go out to you. Sincerely, Bette

Dear Bob and Family, You are in our prayers and thought. We are so honored to have known Debi - her caring ways, her powerful discernment, her amazing insight into life, her faith in her Savior. She was an original member of the Early Risers Small Group here at Moorpark Presbyterian. Every other Thursday at 6:30 AM, we would gather to study God's word, to pray, and to learn how to translate the word into action. Debi's contributions were always the best! And just recently, she had returned to the group via Jim Stueck's technology. Seeing her shining face on the computer screen and hearing her warm, familiar voice continued to bless the group. She will be missed, but now she is whole and in the arms of a loving God. Love, George and Marion

My deepest condolences to the Ryono family. I was stunned and heartbroken to hear of Debi's passing. I worked with Debi here in Malibu, and many of us were speaking of her recently, remembering how KIND she was -- how positive her outlook was on life, despite the health issues she battled. I can still hear her voice, her laugh. To her daughters: Know that every time she spoke of you, she beamed with pride. Her love for you and your dad was very apparent. She'll forever be there to guide you as your angel. I am very lucky to have known her. God bless her.

Debi was one of the sweetest and kindest people I have ever known. Even though we haven't been in touch as much in the recent years, the summers we spent together at the farm will always hold a special place in my heart. Wonderful memories! She will truly be missed. Kerry and I send our condolences to the entire family. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Debi was a true role model. She went through so much over the years, and never once--NOT once--did I ever hear her complain. She completely, totally, and utterly trusted God to bring her through it all. Did I mention she was selfless? She took care of everyone else in the family before herself. I will never, ever forget her courage and spirit.

Let everyone be aware that this was a very special lady. I am so glad she got to be in Michigan near family and thankful to Moorpark Woman's Fortnightly Club for introducing us. Debi always did what she could to promote the woman's club and, it was always a treat to see her at meetings since she was usually working. But, our paths would cross every once in a while at the Spring road Starbucks, where we would share a quick exchange or hug in passing some mornings. How wonderful God is to have given us the chance to know her. Love you gal, Betty Canavan

First off Debbie and Bob were my Sunday School teachers and they were sweet and fun. Next are the memories of Debbie and her daughters would visit us at my mom's and since we lived across the street we would go to the beach. Erin and Catherine were little and Debbie, as always had so much patience, talking to her daughters and listening to them. How will I ever forget going to all the Easter Sundays with her family and our family. It's so close to Easter, I remember all the Easter egg hunts for her kids, nieces and nephews and then my own kids. I loved her, we all loved her. My mom is heart broken and at the same time she knows you are happy and healthy in heaven. We love all of you. Debbie was the very best in every single way.

My sincere condolences to the Ryono family. Debi was always kind and so helpful. I would call her all the time to find out the history about something in the community, and without fail, she always knew and would explain it so well. She was definitely a walking history book! So many people in Moorpark and throughout Ventura County (especially in the journalism community) knew Debi and are extremely saddened about her loss right now. She will be sorely missed.

I remember Debi came to our school during career day, speaking on behalf of the Ventura County Star. Although I didn't ultimately end up in that field, I remember her enthusiasm of her presentation making me think "wow, what a cool job!" Much of that probably had more to do with Debi's personality more than anything. My thoughts go out to you and the rest of your family Erin.
