Please share a memory of Steve to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Steve Kuti was born January 5, 1939 in Rabapatona, Hungary to the union of Istvan Kuti and Gizella (Bencze) Kuti. Steve left Hungary during the Revolution in 1956. He joined the United States Army and was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division. He served honorably from March of 1959 until February of 1961. On May 6, 1961 in Lincoln Park, Michigan, Steve married the love of his life Elizabeth Gal. From this marriage they were blessed with three loving children: Suzanne (Paul) Roberts, Debra (Jeff) Barron, and Stephen (Donna) Kuti who all currently reside in Carleton. They were also blessed with six grandchildren: Jenna and Kayla Roberts, Adam and Kevin Barron, and Dane and Natalie Kuti. A beloved sister still resides in Hungary. In the early 1960's Steve worked for Ford Motor Company. He soon found a full-time career in carpentry spending many years self employed. His specialty was finishing and his attention to detail was amazing. Prior to retiring he also worked for Krauss Builders in Grosse Ile. Steve's passion became golf and he and Elizabeth could often be found on the course together. His hobby was woodcarving; and the creation of elaborate ducks and putters were common. Bowling, bow and rifle hunting were pastimes. His hunting trips took him as far as Alaska in search of deer, bear, and elk. Steve Kuti, age 69, passed away, November 29, in The Villages, Florida. His loving family was at his side. Steve's passing was preceded by his parents, a brother, and a sister. Cremation has taken place.
