Obituary of Wanda Joyce Duvall
Wanda Joyce Duvall was born on July 10, 1955 in Monroe, Michigan. She was one of four daughters born from the union of the late Reverend J.D. and Novella (Harrell) Sulfridge. Joyce graduated from Monroe High School with the class of 1974. She later attended the Michigan College of Beauty, gaining her cosmetology license in 1993.
Joyce married the love of her life, Thomas Duvall, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ida on May 18, 1974. From this union, came the birth of four wonderful children. She helped support her family through various hair salons for many years. Though her love for taking care of others, led her to employment with LaPrad Homecare for more than ten years, as a nurses’ aid.
Joyce enjoyed nothing more than the time spent with her family. She hosted many family gatherings through the years, spoiling her family with home cooked meals and baked goods. Joyce’s love for crocheting and sewing kept her busy with a growing family, creating many blankets, hats and clothing articles. She was an active fan of QVC and enjoyed the many camping trips with the family. On any given day, Joyce could be found with her dog Harley and her cat Oliver, listening to the music she loved.
