Obituary of Renay Jean Anger

Renay Jean Anger was born in Monroe on November 12, 1971. She is one of four children raised from the union of the late Jerry D. Prater Sr. and the late Margaret Diana (Patton) Prater. She attended Jefferson High School. Renay labored as a nurse’s aide at the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Monroe for many years. Renay was an extremely caring woman. She was known to be a “Mother Hen” to others, always striving to take care of those around her. Renay was a collector of various types of dolls, including Barbie’s. She was a simple woman with a big smile that will be missed dearly. Renay Jean Anger, age 44, of Monroe passed away at home at 7:50pm on Saturday, September 17, 2016, she had been under the care of Ebeid Hospice. Her passing was preceded by her parents. To cherish her memory, Renay leaves her brother: Jerry Prater Jr. of Toledo; her sisters: Rhonda Elliot of Ohio and Jennifer Prater of Toledo; nieces and nephews: Cody Pilat, Cory Pilat, Deven Larsen, Kasandra Larsen, Brandon Larsen and Grant Prater. Friends may gather on Monday, September 26, 2016 from 10:00am until 12:00noon at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe, 2442 North Monroe St., Monroe, Michigan (734)384-5185. A Celebration of her Life will follow at 12:00 also at Merkle’s. Procession will follow to Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle for burial.
