April Kay Deering
January 14, 1955 - September 15, 2011
April Kay Disher was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 14, 1955. She was one of three children born from the union of Irvin Robert Disher and the late Nancie Lou (Miller) Disher. April grew up in California where she left high school at a young age. She later persevered by returning to Narbonne High School in California and earned her high school diploma, a feat that she was very proud of.
She married the love of her life Gerald Deering on January 22, 1984 in Cerritos, California.
For twelve years April worked at the medical desk for Farmers Insurance. She had also worked as a buyer for a machine shop for many years. In 1997, April took a medical retirement. Since that time she had been a homemaker. A few years ago Gerald was fortunate enough to retire and they cherished the additional time they were able to spend together. April was a devoted wife. She loved to cook and spaghetti was one of her guest's favorite dishes although it seemed they enjoyed everything she made. In her free time April enjoyed writing and she had completed the novel, "The Mystery of Hampton House" although she refused to get it published. She loved to work on the computer and she was very talented at editing and photo shopping pictures. Scrapbooking was also a favorite pastime.
