Obituary of Vicki Meade
Please share a memory of Vicki to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Vicki Lynn Ruiz was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 21, 1954. She was the daughter of the late Victor Ruiz and Shirley (Corrow) Ruiz Chapman. She attended Jefferson High School and graduated with the Class of 1973.
For many years Vicki worked as a cook and bartender for local establishments. She took a medical retirement in the mid 1990's. She married Douglas Meade on July 19, 1997 in Monroe, Michigan. Her medical allowed Vicki the opportunity to spend additional time as a homemaker with her two girls which she cherished. Even after leaving the restaurant business Vicki enjoyed cooking and her grandchildren especially loved her spaghetti and meatballs. Dancing, gardening, crafts, and cake decorating were all favorite pastimes. Vicki was the ultimate caregiver. With her heart of gold she was always willing to open up her home to others. When she was younger, Vicki loved to socialize and be around others. She liked to shoot darts and was involved in several leagues.
