Charlotte Richardson
February 6, 1926 - October 8, 2008
Charlotte Noe was born in Claiborne County, Tennessee on February 6, 1926 from the union of the late Palmer Noe and the late Judy (Herrell) Noe. She married Wade A. Richardson Sr. on June 17, 1945 in Bell County, Kentucky.
She was many things to many people. Charlotte was a loving wife, a beloved sister and daughter, the caretaker, and a spectacular cook and baker. But most important of all she was the Super Glue that held her family together through thick and thin.
Charlotte held many positions throughout the years. Her favorite was with the East Tennessee Human Resource Center. Here she was responsible for coordinating daily meal deliveries and scheduling transportation for those-in-need. She commented to her children that after Wade's passing in 1981 this "job" gave her a reason to get out of bed in the morning.
Charlotte was a quilter who often extended her work as gifts to her friends and family. She loved to work in the yard. Gardening became another passion and growing beautiful roses was one of her talents. Reading her Bible and delving into scripture brought comfort to Charlotte, and she was a member of Tazewell Baptist Church. Her musical interests included listening and attending Blue Grass shows.
On October 8, 2008 Charlotte Richardson, age 82, of Monroe passed away at Mercy Memorial Hospital.
She leaves to cherish her memory three sons: Harold "Hal" (Carol) of West Borough, Massachusetts, Doug (Natalie) of Monroe, and Art (Lyn) of Luna Pier; two brothers: Carson (Pansy) Noe of New Tazewell, Leonard (Eileen) Noe of Tazewell, four sisters: Cassie Caylor and Betty Jane Williams both of Tazewell, Anna (Grover) Walker of Knoxville, and Barbara (Billy) Buchanan of New Tazewell; four grandchildren: Stephen Richardson of West Borrough, Lori (Greg) Roland of Monroe, Trish (Joe) Gronda of Lake, MI, and Noel (Kristi) Richardson of Atlanta, GA; two great grandchildren: Ryan and Riley Roland both of Monroe.
