Obituary of Nancy Russeau

Nancy Marie Russeau August 9, 1948 - October 15, 2008 Nancy Marie Russeau was born on August 9, 1948 in Monroe, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd Jerome Russeau Sr. and the late Alice Marie (Navarre). Nancy loved her family. She always appreciated the opportunity to spend quality time with them. Holidays were some of Nancy's favorite times. The decorations and festivities that surrounded these times of year always got Nancy in the mood. She especially loved Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Whether it was with family or friends, Nancy enjoyed playing bingo and a good game of cards. These were Nancy's favorite hobbies, although she also enjoyed punishing a few pins while bowling. The great outdoors always held a mystique for Nancy and breathing the fresh air was a treat. Over the years she had taken the opportunity to go camping many times. Music always played a part in Nancy's life and Bob Seger and George Jones were just some of her favorite artists. Nancy always paid attention to detail, in fact it was one of her specialties. For many years Nancy worked in residential home cleaning. She performed this task for neighbors and friends. Nancy Marie Russeau, age 60, passed away peacefully at her Monroe home on Wednesday, October 15, 2008. Her memory will forever be cherished by a sister Mary and her husband Keith Offenburg of LaSalle, her brother Chris and sister-in-law Lisa Russeau of LaSalle, and her brother Lloyd and sister-in-law Nancy Russeau of Pueblo, Colorado, and ten nieces and nephews. Her passing was preceded by her parents. Family and Friends are invited to gather from 4pm until 7pm on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street, Frenchtown Township, (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Her Life will take place at 7:00pm with the Rev. Roy Southerland pastor of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Cremation will follow through Southern Michigan Services in Livonia, Michigan. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts of love are suggested to the Russeau family.
