Anna Mae Randall
May 15, 1916 - April 13, 2008
Anna Randall, age 91, passed away at 3:15am on Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Mercy Memorial Nursing Center. Her loving family was by her side.
Anna was born on May 15, 1916 in Lyons, Michigan to the marriage of the late Jerome Harper and the late Mae Neva Angell. She married Loyal Charles Randall on September 4, 1937.
Anna was a homemaker raising six children. Although Anna considered gardening and cooking a part of homemaker responsibilities, she took enjoyment in both. Flowers were one of her favorite gardening items. She also spent a portion of every day playing the piano or organ.
She leaves to cherish her memory, four daughters: Shirley and Frank Valicenti of Northwood, Ohio; Carol and Wayne Cooper of Costa Mesa, California; Donna Petruso of Monroe; and Dorothy and Richard Mullins also of Monroe; a son: Larry Randall of Dundee, Michigan; a brother: George Leslie Harper of Lyons, Michigan; fifteen loving grandchildren; and ten beloved great grandchildren. Anna was preceded in passing by her husband: Loyal in 1981; parents; an infant son: Stewart and a son: Gordon; two brothers: Ray and Harold; and two sisters: Ruth and June.
Friends may Gather on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 from 2-8pm at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street, Frenchtown Township, (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 1:00pm also at Merkle Funeral Service. The Rev. James Jacobs chaplain at Mercy Memorial Hospital System will officiate. Procession will follow to Roselawn Memorial Park for burial.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Mercy Memorial Hospice or to the Eden Fund at Mercy Memorial Nursing Center.
