Obituary of William McDonald

William "Bill" McDonald August 30, 1939 - March 19, 2008 William "Bill" Sherman McDonald, age 68, left his earthly home and took residence with his Lord in Heaven on Wednesday, March 19, 2008. His passing was unexpected for those who knew and loved him most on earth. Bill was born on August 30, 1939 in Toledo, Ohio from the union of the late Harry Olen McDonald and the late Anna Astalos. Bill had worked in radio for many years - a career that he truly loved. He had served as an announcer for radio stations in Arizona, Texas, and California. From this career developed a fondness of music. Bill enjoyed listening and recording many music genres. He also loved to dance and strumming the guitar. For the past fifteen years he had worked at local Bob Evans Restaurants. While working there he had the opportunity to interact with others regularly, time that he cherished. Bill is survived by his sister: Lillian Barringer and her husband Ronald of Groesbeck, Texas; a nephew: John Adams Jr. of Toledo; a niece: Angela Morgan of Toledo; and a great niece: Kimberly Morgan of Groesbeck, Texas. Bill also leaves many special friends who will cherish his memory including: Lisa Tkachuk and her fiancé Louie Hall of Newport, Maggie Tkachuk of Monroe, Diana Hall of Newport, Ron and Christy of Toledo, and Susan Mush of Toledo. No public services are planned. Cremation will take place through Southern Michigan Services, Livonia.
