Mary Kay Badalamenti
January 25, 1953 - December 30, 2010
Mary Kay Badalamenti was born on January 25, 1953 in Monroe. She was the daughter of the late Victor Emanuel and Kathleen (Bartolotta) Badalamenti. Mary was baptized and had her first communion at St. Joseph Church.
From birth Victor and Kathleen were told that Mary was "different". In fact she wasn't just "different", Mary was "special". Mary's personality had the ability to warm any room. She also was blessed with the ability to make others better; teaching patience, compassion, and understanding.
Mary cherished her family and looked forward to frequent get-togethers. She especially loved her nieces and nephews and loved to lavish them with her homemade beads. Mary being a proud aunt loved to get down and play on the floor with her young nieces and nephews. As they grew putt-putt golf and basketball became some of their favorite games. Mary was an avid colorer, prominently displaying her felt paintings and pictures in her room, and she loved to sing. She looked forward to Sunday morning donuts and her Thursday afternoon frozen custard trips to Danny's.
Mary age 57 of Monroe passed away at her home on Thursday morning December 30, 2010. She had been under the care of Heartland Hospice. Her passing was preceded by her beloved father: Victor on January 1, 2009.
She leaves to cherish her memory a mother: Kathleen at home; three sisters: Vickie Badalamenti of Monroe, Kathy (Dave) Brown of Monroe, and Lisa Badalamenti-Lenz (Rick Lenz) of Dundee; eight special nieces and nephews: Jerimiah (Cara) Brown of Chicago, Jenna (Ryan) Kidd of Monroe, Ethan Brown of Monroe, Vinnie Giarmo of Monroe, Ben (Abbie) Giarmo of Fort Wayne, IN, Mandy (Jeremy) Nadeau of Ida, Jake Luthy of Ida, and Joe Luthy of Ida; three great nieces and nephews: Sophia, Max, and Gavin Nadeau; a maternal uncle: Dominic (Paula) Bartolotta of MO; and three paternal aunts: Fara Sulfaro and Rose (Ben) Bullock both of Monroe, and Chris (Sam) Evola) of Amhertsburg, Canada.
