Robert Oliver Derr June 18, 1920 - December 25, 2010 Robert Oliver Derr was born in Dearborn, Michigan on June 18, 1920. Robert was the son of the late Ralph Louis Derr and the late Myrtle Mae (Bellows) Derr. He served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army. Robert was married to Julia (Major) Derr. Julia preceded Robert in her passing. For more than twenty-seven years, Robert worked in sales for Sears Roebuck and Company. Robert retired in 1983. He made his home at the Mable Kehres Apartments in Monroe for many years. He could often be found socializing with others or playing pool in the lobby. Robert was well known for his great sense of humor. He moved to Warren several years ago to be near his son. Robert Oliver Derr age 90 of Warren formerly of Monroe, passed away at 4:15pm, Saturday, December 25, 2010 at the Lakepointe Senior Care and Rehab Center, LLC. in Clinton Township. He leaves to cherish his memory a son: Robert Allen Derr and his significant other Marian Dykgraaf of Warren and a stepdaughter: Roberta Huntoon of California.
