Barbara Ann Pendleton
Sept. 11, 1946 - Dec. 23, 2007
Barbara Ann Pendleton, age 61, went to be with her Lord and Savior on
Sunday afternoon, December 23, 2007. She was surrounded by her loving
family.
Barb
was born September 11, 1946 in Corbin, Kentucky. She was the daughter
of Ernest and Dovie (Dice) Ray. She married the love of her life, Gary
Pendleton, on July 12, 1968 at Kentucky Park Baptist Church in Monroe.
Barb
had worked for more than thirty years for the Monroe County Extension
Office, where she had been extremely active with 4-H. She had worked as
an Administrative Assistant retiring in 2003. She had attended Monroe
Full Gospel for many years. Following her retirement, being active in
her church became a passion. She listed as hobbies: garage saleing,
cooking, and especially baking. Her family recalls their beloved "MIMI"
as a wonderful grandmother.
She leaves to cherish her memory,
her husband of 39 years, Gary Pendleton Sr.; a daughter: Shannon and
Marc Brancheau; two sons: Gary and Kim Pendleton Jr. and Jeremy and
Angie Pendleton all of Monroe; five grandchildren: Jarret Brancheau,
Skyler, Delaney, and Kaleb Pendleton, and Devin Pendleton. She was
expecting a granddaughter: Hailey Pendleton in January 2008. She is
also survived by seven brothers and sisters and seven step-brothers and
sisters.
A Gathering for friends will be held Wednesday,
December 26, 2007 at the Merkle Funeral Home, 2442 North Monroe Street,
Frenchtown Township. She will lie in state from 10:00am until a
Celebration of Her Life at 11:00am, Thursday at the Frenchtown
Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Von Loop pastor of the church and
the Rev. Gary Pickrell, long-time friend, will co-officiate. Procession
and burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Monroe.
In lieu of flowers, for those desiring memorial contributions are suggested to Frenchtown Missionary Baptist Church.
