Obituary of Janet Riley

Janet "Nana" Rachael Riley August 16, 1947-October 6, 2007 Janet "Nana" Riley, age 60, went to be with her Lord, on Saturday morning, October 6, 2007. Her loving, devoted husband, Randy, was by her side. Friends may gather from 1-8pm, Monday October 8, 2007 at the Merkle Funeral Home, 2442 North Monroe Street, Frenchtown Township. She will lie in state on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 from 10:00am until funeral services at 11:00am at the Bible Fellowship Church. The Rev. Eugene White will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. She was born August 16, 1947 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the daughter of Ralph and Thelma (Goodman) Cole. Janet was a Trenton High School, Michigan graduate. She married Randy J. Riley on September 14, 1978 in Monroe, Michigan. After her marriage to Randy she became a homemaker. Janet enjoyed crafts, cooking, and gardening; especially flowers. Janet also enjoyed her husband's gospel music. She was known to many as "Nana". She is survived by her husband, Randy, of LaSalle; a daughter: Rachel and son-in-law: Patrick Cooper of Monroe; a brother: Gregory and sister-in-law: Vicky Cole of Monroe; a stepsister: Darlene Mullins of Gibralter; and five grandchildren: P.J., Alex, Storm, Easton, and Kynzee. She was preceded in death by both of her parents. Those desiring may make memorial donations to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Cancer Center.
