Obituary of John Philo

John H. Philo Jr. August 19, 1970-July 24, 2007 John Harold Philo Jr., age 36, of Elkmont, Alabama. Died Tuesday, July 24, 2007 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Friends may call from 2-8pm, Sunday at the Merkle Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Rick Massingill pastor of North Monroe Street Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. He was born August 19, 1970 in Monroe, Michigan the son of John H. Philo Sr. and Donna Johnson. He had attended Jefferson Schools. He worked for many years as a laborer in construction. John enjoyed traveling and had lived in Florida, Alabama, Nevada, and even the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He especially enjoyed gardening, and roses, hunting, and caring for many animals. He was a true outdoorsman. He had attended North Monroe Street Church of God, Mountain Assembly. He is survived by his parents: John (Cindy) Philo of Union City and Donna (Lou) Crusi of Monroe; a son: Zachary Philo of Dundee; a maternal grandmother: Betty Johnson of Monroe; two brothers: David (Jessica) Morgan of Jackson and Michael ( Kathy) Crusi of Philadelphia, PA; two sisters: Heather (Bryan) Brooks of Union City and Patricia (Nicholas) Robak of Philadelphia, PA.
