I was just getting ready to call Larry like I have been doing periodically for the past few years when I had heard that he just past away. I was thinking to myself how cold of a world it continues to be when one of your best friends have left.Larry and Charlie were the ones that introduced me to the Oscoda area. We fished and hunted there for many years. The 1st time I bow hunted with them was around 1970 when I was 13 and it was around the Bambi lake area. They always treated me like part of the family. Sometimes Larry and I would make trips to the cabin and make dug out blinds for deer hunting. I do know that I had many many good memories with Larry and Charlie. May God bless all of the family that's left and also cherish the great memories that are left. Rest in Peace Larry McCollum my good Christian Friend.

Some of my best memories as a younger man were spent in Oscoda with Larry and his family. He was always very welcoming. Still have so many Larry stories that my students are already tired of hearing them! My condolences to the family. May he rest in peace.
