Candy Ann (Fulayter) Wray
July 8, 1969 - April 17, 2015
Candy Ann (Fulayter) Wray was born on July 8, 1969 in Detroit, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late Matthew Fulayter and Brenda (Shackleford) Bleau. Candy graduated from Monroe High School in the class of 1987.
Candy married the love of her life, Danial Wayne Wray on April 29, 2005 in Toledo, Ohio. She helped to support her family as a Direct Care Worker for Macomb Residential for the last seven years.
Candy was always outspoken, containing a full of life personality who always seemed to be the center of attention. She loved life, laughing, playing, and spoiling her grandchildren always. Candy was like a second mother to her children's friends. Always valuing the time she spent with her family.
As a young teenager in junior high school, Candy played a role as Rizzo in a play from the movie "Grease", it became her favorite movie for the years to come. Candy was a loyal supporter of the Detroit Lions, never missing a game. She enjoyed listening to Kid Rock and going to his concerts when he toured locally. She was an avid bingo player at the Knights of Columbus hall and spent many hours on her computer, playing Facebook games.
Candy Wray, age 45, of Monroe passed away on Friday, April 17, 2015 in her home. Her passing was preceded by her father, Matthew.
To cherish Candy's memory she leaves her loving husband of twenty years: Danial Wayne Wray of Monroe; her mother: Brenda (Clare) Bleau of Luna Pier; daughter: Jessica (John) Cole of Monroe; son: Corey (Cassandra Sorter) Muniz of Monroe; two brothers: Ben (Kim Cox) Fulayter of North Jackson, Ohio and Bobby Bankston of Monroe; three sisters: Teresa (Tony DiAngelo) Haapala of Whitmore Lake and Raven (Joshua) Miller of Luna Pier, Melanie Tinnel of Monroe; and five grandchildren: Christopher Harris, Ariana Cole, Laila Muniz, Aubrey Muniz and Koralynn Muniz.
Friends may gather from 2:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Her Life will take place at 11:00am on Thursday, April 23, 2015 also at Merkle's with Pastor Joseph Byrd of Stewart Road Christian Ministries officiating. Procession will follow to Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle, Michigan for burial.
