Obituary of Donna Bonds

Donna Yvonne Ostoin was born on November 6, 1943 in Wyandotte, Michigan. She was one of two children born from the union of the late Steve and the late Pauline (Jankov) Ostoin. Donna attended Lincoln Park High School from where she graduated in the class of 1962. Donna married the love of her life, Raymond Bonds on December 12, 1969 in Toledo, Ohio. Donna entered this marriage with Raymond and four children, two sons and two daughters. From this union, came the birth of two additional children. To help support her family Donna worked at K-Mart for over thirty years as a sales associate until taking retirement in 2007. She continued working part time at St. Charles School; she loved working as a Lunchroom Mother. Donna spent most of her free time surrounded by her family. She often enjoyed the trips up north to her family's cabin. It was in Donna's home, where the holiday gatherings and dinners took place, throughout the years. She really enjoyed being a grandmother. Donna Yvonne Bonds, age 71, of Brownstown passed away peacefully at 3:22am on Monday, March 30, 2015 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital. In addition to her parents, her passing was preceded by her beloved husband of 37 years: Raymond Bonds. To cherish her memory she leaves six children: Ray (Constance) Bonds of Gibraltar, Jeff Bonds of Gibraltar, Colleen Smith of Pontiac, Karen (Kyle) Cox of Rockwood, Todd (Lisa) Bonds of Brownstown and Brent (Monica) Bonds of Newport; one brother: Steve (Angie) Ostoin of Woodhaven; sixteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
