Marilyn Alice (Reaume) Blaine was born in Monroe, Michigan on February 16, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Royal Reaume and Myrna (Roberts) Reaume. Marilyn was baptized and confirmed at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She attended their grade school and graduated from St. Mary's Academy High School with the Class of 1955.
Marilyn married the love of her life Donald Blaine, and from this union the couple would raise their two children together. Marilyn loved canning and cooking, and she used her passion for serving others to be a cook for Community Center Paradise. This position was one that she truly loved.
Marilyn was a hard worker always leading others by example. She had a cheerful heart and never complained. Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and those around her cherished her company as well. Marilyn was also an active member of Companions of Christ the Lamb.
One of her favorite pastimes was refurbishing old furniture something that she had quite a knack for.
Marilyn Alice Blaine, age 78 passed away at Promedica Monroe Regional Hospital on Wednesday, February 25, 2015. In addition to her parents her passing was preceded her beloved husband: Donald Blaine; a sister: Evelyn Reaume; and a brother: Meryl Reaume.
To cherish her memory she leaves two sons: Glenn (Terri) Blaine of Grass Lake, Michigan, Michael Blaine of Norvell, Michigan; two sisters: Ruby (Orville) Montri of Ida and Audrey (Ronald) Stein of Monroe; one grandchild: Mackenzie Blaine of Grass Lake, Michigan.
She will lie in state from 9:00am until the Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00am on will take place on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Charles Catholic Church, 8125 Swan Creek Road, Newport, Michigan with Father Victor Roman officiating.
