Please share a memory of Albert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Albert Medarno Muniz was born in Carrollton Township, Michigan on March 16, 1926. He was one of nine children born from the union of the late Jesus and Mary (Medarno) Muniz.
Albert married the former Donna Dombrowski and from this union came the birth of eight children. In 1975, the family moved from Detroit to Newport before later settling in Monroe. Albert believed in living his life as an example to others. He was passionate about the value of hard work and he thought a man needed to hustle to make his own way. Known as "Big Al", he spent more than thirty years employed by Ford Motor Company. Albert supported his family working as a crane operator being a member of the River Rouge UAW Local serving at the Flat Rock and River Rouge plants prior to his retirement.
Albert was a former boxer, and was also an avid bowler for many years. A car aficionado, Albert enjoyed tinkering on them. Later in life he had enjoyed playing the lottery and horse shoes.
