Obituary of Brooke Lawson

Brooke Renee Lawson August 14, 1985 - February 11, 2015 Brooke Renee England was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on August 14, 1985. She was born from the union of the Thomas and the late Donna (Edmonson) England. Brooke received her high school diploma from Monroe High I the class of 2003. In 2011, Brooke and her daughter moved from Monroe to Bowling Green, Ohio. Brooke married her high school sweetheart, Matthew Lawson December, 2003 after high school. From this union, came the birth of their daughter, Jordan. Brooke supported her family as a phlebotomist at the University of Toledo Medical Center for the past few years. Brooke spent much of her time outdoors, staying physically active in bow hunting where she has won trophies, participating in marathons, and running 5K's. She had a passion for music and crafts, often scrapbooking, drawing, and painting. Brooke enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking, and taught her daughter, Jordan the craft. Brooke valued her family and friends. She loved going on field trips with Jordan to places like Imagination Station and the Toledo Zoo. Brooke was very social and loved all her friends in Bowling Green. She enjoyed her Taco Tuesday's at the El Zarapa Restaurant with the ladies from her mom's group that she attended. Brook Renee Lawson, age 29, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 unexpectedly at home. Her passing was preceded by her mother: Donna England in 2013. To cherish her memory she leaves her daughter: Jordan Lawson of Bowling Green; father: Thomas England of Monroe; Brothers: Ken England of Red Lodge, Montana and Michael (Kellie) England of Erie; Sisters: Judy (John) Guice of Rome, Georgia and her twin sister Brittany (Christopher) Rains of Monroe; Niece: Casey (William) Hawkins of Perrysburg; Nephews: Jerico England of Erie, Keegan England of Erie, Thomas England of Charleston, South Carolina, and Ken Bores of Monroe; and Jordan's father: Matthew Lawson of Bowling Green, Ohio. Friends may gather from 1:00pm-7:00pm on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe, 14567 South Dixie Highway (734) 241-7070. A Celebration of Her Life will follow at 7:00pm, also at Merkle's with Pastor BJ McDaniel of Frenchtown Missionary Baptist Church officiating. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
