Obituary of Scott Aaron Lemley
Scott Aaron Lemley was born on March 17, 1963, in Dundee, Michigan. He was born to Sylvester “Butch” Lemley and Margaret (Shaffer) Lemley. He attended Dundee High School, graduating with the class of 1981.
On December 23, 1989, at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Dundee, Michigan, Scott married the love of his life, the former Elaine Whited. Together they raised Elaine’s two daughters: Carrie and Emily. To provide for his family, Scott worked more than thirty-two years as a tool and die maker at the Rouge plant for Ford Motor Company where he was a proud member of the United Auto Workers Local 600. During his employment he earned two associate degrees from Washtenaw Community College and then a bachelor's degree in manufacturing technology from Eastern Michigan University.
Scott loved being outdoors and staying active. He looked forward to cross-country jaunts on his Harley Davidson Ultra Classic motorcycle, riding to see family in Iowa or trips all around the State of Michigan with his best friend Bill taking in the beauty of the state. He also liked camping and hitting the links at the Dundee Golf Course or at Deme Acres in Petersburg, Michigan. When Scott wasn't staying active, he was actively planning his next two-wheeled excursion or whatever kind of adventure struck his fancy.
Scott and Elaine enjoyed each other’s company, often dining at Red Lobster or Great Lakes Eatery. Above all family was the most important aspect of his life. He was the glue that held the family together and made it his passion to stay connected with loved ones. A loyal husband and responsible individual, Scott was a true gentleman, that will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
