Emma Irene Gamble was born in Carleton, Michigan on August 15, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Harold G. Gamble and the late Dorothy E. (Michling) Gamble.
She was a member of Moose Lodge 203.
She married the love of her life Ralph C. Haines in Carleton, Michigan on July 13, 1946.
From this union would come the birth of three daughters. Emma served her family as a homemaker. She cherished her responsibility and attentively looked after the needs of her husband and children.
Emma Irene Haines age 85 of San Antonio, Texas formerly of Trenton passed away at 2:32pm on Monday, January 12, 2015 under hospice care. In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by her beloved husband, Ralph; two daughters: Elmyra Sherman and Anna Mae Krupczak; two brothers: George Gamble and Jerry Gamble; and two sisters: Gertrude Dunn and Loretta Kropff.
To cherish her memory she leaves a daughter: Lillian (Garal) Kelley of San Antonio; a brother: John Gamble of Carleton, Michigan; three sisters: Edna (Edward) Schuyler of Gregory, Michigan, Elmyra (Jack) Clark of Monroe and Sirena (Louie) Mandelka of Carleton; seven grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
Friends may gather from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe, 14567 South Dixie Highway (734) 241-7070, formerly Bennett Funeral Services). A Celebration of Her Life will take place at 12:00pm on Saturday, January 17, 2015 also at Merkle's with pastor MaryAnn McMunn officiating. Procession will follow to Michigan Memorial Park in Huron Township for burial.
