Carlisle Arthur Kroeger was born in Bedford Township, Michigan on May 31, 1940. He was one of seven children born from the union of the late Elmer and Irene (Henry) Kroeger. Carlisle was a graduate of Monroe High school and served his country honorably in the United States Army National Guard.
Carlisle married the love of his life, the former Sandra M. VanBelle on February 16, 1978, in Toledo, from this union would come the birth of five lovely children. For thirty-two years, Carlisle supported his family working full time as a communications expert for the Army National Guard Armory in Monroe until retiring in 2010. He was a former member of the American Legion Post 40 in Monroe and a part of the 40 & 8.
Carlisle was a simple man that loved the simple things. He loved his wife and children and enjoyed the time he spent with his family. He enjoyed the outdoors, often spending time hunting, fishing, golfing, and gardening. Carlisle took great pride in his garden by weeding it by hand and growing 50lb watermelons. Upon his many hobbies, Carlisle enjoyed the pastime of wine making; which he preferred the art of making over consumption.
