Obituary of Roger Dusseau

Roger Phillip Dusseau Sr. was born in LaSalle, Michigan October 13, 1943. He was one of twelve children born from the union of the late Eldred and the late Ursula (Kolinski) Dusseau.
Roger married the love of his life, the former Diane M. Johnson, on October 10, 1964. From this union the couple would raise together two children. Roger supported his family working at Ford Motor Company for thirty years where he would take retirement in December 1997.
Roger had an adventurous spirit for the outdoors and enjoyed nature. He spent his time hunting, as well as fishing and trapping. He also cherished his time spent with his great grand babies.
Roger Phillip Dusseau Sr., age 71 of LaSalle passed away after his declining health from the past two years after a long battle, on and off, with cancer on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at his home with his family by his side. In addition to his parents, his passing was preceded by a brother: Eldred Dusseau Jr.; and a sister: Cynthia Smithers- Parriet.
To cherish his memory, Roger leaves his loving wife of fifty years: Diane M. (Johnson) Dusseau; two children: Roger P. (Patty) Dusseau Jr. of LaSalle and Robyn Peariso of Kansas; three brothers: Gerald Dusseau of Monroe, Wayne Dusseau of Monroe and Patrick Dusseau of LaSalle; six sisters: Carolyn (Ron Florian) Kallenberg of Monroe, Diana (Bob) Pritchard, Veronica (John Bower) Carlson of LaSalle, Paulette Humphry of California, Kathy (Don) Marchese of Monroe and Debbie (Butch) James of Monroe; three grandchildren: Ryan (Jennifer) Dusseau, Ashley Dusseau and Jessica Irvin and four great grandchildren: Emalina, Eliana, Aiden and Billie.
Friends may gather from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe. A Celebration of His Life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. also at Merkle's. Tom Haynes will officiate.
