Obituary of James Donnie Thompson

James Donnie Thompson was born March 17, 1957 in Trenton, Michigan. He was the son of James Warren Thompson and Mary Lue Lowe Thompson.

He was a Skilled Trade Maintenance employee for JLL Industries. He loved being with his wife and around family and friends. Donnie was an avid boater and golfer. 

James Donnie Thompson, age 66, of Hudson, Florida passed away at Adventhealth North in Tarpon Springs, Florida. In addition to his passing, he is preceded by his mother. 

Left to cherish his memory, he leaves:  his loving wife: Sheri Ann Thompson; his father: James Warren Thompson; mother and father in-law: Jim and Nancy LaFountain; one sister-in-law: Debbie (Dick) Raymo; five children: Jamie Thompson, Derek (Cassandra) Hoskins, Natilie (Steven) Bellman, Alyssa (Kyle) Davison and Mikey (April) Shumaker; ten grandchildren: Beau, Blakely, Mia, Briar, Brooklyn, Jacob, Blake, Brylee, Bailey and Riot; three sisters: Marcy (Bob) Lester, Kathy (Steve) Costello and Christie (Tim) Johnson.

Visitation was held from 11:00am until 1:30pm Friday, September 22, 2023 at Grace Memorial Funeral Home, Hudson, Florida. Funeral Services were at 1:30pm at the funeral home and burial followed in Grace Memorial Park. 

Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe; 14567 South Dixie Highway, Monroe, Michigan 48161 (734) 241-7070, assisted the family will local arrangements, providing a dove release to symoblize Donnie's faith.
