After returning home from war, Richard went back to school and completed the twelfth grade. Richard married the love of his life the former Jacqueline Couture on September 4,1954. He spent many years looking after his late daughter: Dana and his parents. Richard loved spending time with family. Family vacations were always a favorite especially while visiting the cabin in Ludington. Richard liked spending time outdoors and he never missed deer hunting or deer camp.
