Marian Elizabeth Fountain
May 21, 1927 - December 12, 2014
Marian Elizabeth Fountain was born on May 21, 1927. She was one of six children born from the union of the late Clifford and Pearl (Nadeau) Frey.
She married the love of her life, Frank Fountain, on August 24, 1946 at Saint Charles Church in Newport, Michigan. Together the couple would raise seven children. Marian loved spending time with her family, she cherished every moment she was able to spend with them.
Marian loved to spend time outdoors; she enjoyed camping, and venturing out to see the fall colors and family car rides to take in the scenery. She was a member of the Eagle Ladies club and would spend free time crocheting, playing Bingo and at the casino.
Marian Elizabeth Fountain, age 87, of Monroe passed away at 9:46 pm on December 12, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by her husband, Frank Fountain; one son: Danny Fountain; one brother: Raymond Frey; one sister: Marie Frey; and one son-in-law: Fred Dandron.
To cherish her memory, Marian leaves seven children: Peggy Dandron of Lake Michigan, David (Moira) Fountain of Chelsea, Denise (Robert) Cowie of Brownstown, James Fountain of Newport, Renee (Ken) Johnson of Monroe, Henry (Maris) Fountain of Monroe, and Paula (Bob) Andrews of Mountpeiler, Ohio; twenty-four grandchildren; forty great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Friends may gather from 11:00am-2:00pm on Monday, December 15, 2014 at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe; 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of her Life will begin at 2:00pm on Monday, December 15, 2014 also at Merkle's, North Monroe. Reverend Larry Lyons, Chaplain of Mercy Memorial Hospital officiating.
