Kent Leron Brinson was born in Monroe, Michigan on August 8, 1962. He was one of six children born from the union of the late Evist and Alberta (Young) Brinson. He attended Monroe High School where he met and later married Monica McWhite on October 6, 2012.
He supported his family through employment with Noel Lawn Care as a landscaper. He was a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church, their Men's Choir and Mas Choir.
Kent was a joy to be with; he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was very humorous. His faith in god was very strong. He enjoyed golf, horse racing, playing cards, and was an avid Michigan fan.
Kent Leron Brinson, age 52 of Monroe, passed away at 6:19pm on Friday, December 5, 2014 at Mercy St. Anne's Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. In addition to his parents passing he was preceded by a sister: Darlene Heckle.
To cherish his memory, Kent leaves his loving wife, Monica Brinson; five children: Kent Brinson Jr. of Monroe, Kellen Brinson of Monroe, Kevaughn Brinson of Adrian, Keagan Brinson of Monroe, Koty Brinson of Monroe; six step-children: Christa Eberline, Tennery Jordan Hicks, Virgina Jordan, Leona Sivils, Jimmy Wilson, and Najwa McWhite, all of Monroe; two brothers: Evist Brinson of Monroe, Charlie (Lillian) Brinson of Jackson, Mississippi; three sisters: Dorthea Moss of Toledo, Sharon (John) Mosley of Inkster; twenty grandchildren, and a lifelong friend: Syl Johnson.
Friends may gather from 12:00pm until a Homegoing Service following at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 501 Clark St, Monroe (734) 241-8611 with Pastor Allen Overton officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe; 14567 S. Dixie Hwy, Monroe (734) 241-7070.
