Obituary of Linda Minney

Linda Rose Mikowetz was born in Whiteford Township, Michigan on March 20, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Clifford Mikowetz and Irene (Fisher) Mikowetz. Linda attended Bedford Schools through the eighth grade. She married Bobby Gene McLaughlin and later married Thomas Minney. From these unions, Linda was blessed with eight children to call her own. Linda mostly served her family as a homemaker although she spent three years as a laborer for Ford Motor Company. She was outgoing and funny with a great personality and a wonderful sense of humor. It could even be said that Linda talked a lot. Linda loved to travel from Michigan to Alabama to Florida, and wherever she visited she liked to spend time at the local casinos. She enjoyed playing card games especially solitaire, watching television, but more than anything cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. Linda Rose Minney age 76 of Newport passed away at 3:05am, Monday, December 1, 2014 at her home. She had been under the care of Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care. In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by a former spouse: Bobby in 2001 and her husband: Thomas in 1996. To cherish her memory she leaves eight children: Robert of Newport, Carol of Opelika, Alabama, Rick of Melbourne, Florida, Ronnie of Toledo, Ohio, Corina of Monroe, Keith of Newport, Carla of Monroe, and Shelly of Monroe.
