Eva Yuvaan Rogers was born on September 5, 1948 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Howard Rogers and the late Virginia (Pendley) Rogers. Eva married the love of her life Thomas Howard Little on October 24, 1977 in Lincoln Park, Michigan. She was always generous and giving. Eva was a devoted homemaker, cherishing her responsibility of looking after her husband and children. Later in life she was given the gift of grandchildren and they shared a mutual admiration of each other, and spent much time together. Eva was very gifted with her hands and enjoyed completing crafts. She often crocheted, making beautiful and elaborate afghans and doilies. She even used her gift to make dolls. Eva loved sharing all of her creations with those around her. In her free time, Eva enjoyed casting a few lines while fishing and loved good conversation. Whenever she was able, she loved to visit her birth state of Kentucky to catch up with family and acquaintances. Eva Y. Little age 66 of Newport passed away at 12:15pm on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills. In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by a brother: To cherish her memory she leaves a beloved husband of 37 years: Thomas H. Little of Newport; three children: Mary Lanore Bentley of Newport; Billy Joe Little of Milan; and Amanda Katherine Little of Newport; three stepchildren: James (Cathy) Little of Monroe, Frank (Kimberly) Little of Macomb, and Dorothy (Chuck) Tackett of Tennessee, fourteen grandchildren: Debra (Rex), Joshua, Melisa, Zachary, Dylon, Austin, Autumn, Brandon, Thomas, Tiffany, Kortney, Tiffani, Roger, and Jeffery; and eight great grandchildren. Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 8:00pm, Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Her Life will take place at 11:00am on Friday, December 5, 2014 also at Merkle's with the Reverend Roy Southerland pastor of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Procession will follow to Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle for burial.
