Obituary of Charles Cole
Please share a memory of Charles to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Charles "Chuck" Cole was born in Colliers, West Virginia on May 27, 1943. He was one of seven children born from the union of the late Charles L. and Maggie (Minnis) Cole. As a young man, Chuck moved to Michigan seeking employment.
Chuck married the love of his life, the former Margaret Huffman, on December 7, 1963. Together they raised five children. He supported his family through the UAW Local 51 for over thirty- two years as a line leader at Chrysler Mound Road Engines until retiring in 1998.
Chuck was a hero to his family and a wonderful role model to his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was a great father and certainly a one of a kind. Chuck cherished the time he spent with his family sharing a good meal together each Friday and the many Sunday drives. He was quite the historian; visiting anything historical was his past time.
After retirement, Chuck was able to follow his sports more closely. He was a huge fan of college and professional football, baseball and hockey.
