Obituary of Millard Isaac

Millard L. Isaac was born in Kite, Kentucky on August 21, 1944. He was the son and one of fourteen children born from the union of the late Shelly Isaac and the late Mae (VanHoose) Isaac. He married the former Christine Gebolys in 1977. Together the couple shared in the birth of two children: Mae and Russell. Christine passed away in 1993. Coming from a large family, Millard cherished his family more than anything in the world. He was an excellent father, and after the passing of his beloved Christine he became the caretaker to both of his children. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. Millard was a best friend to many, and it was said that he never knew a stranger. He always tried to accommodate others with all their needs. He had a fun personality, and enjoyed guitars and dancing. To support his family for more than 40 years Millard was self-employed performing multiple tasks until his recent medical retirement. Millard l. Isaac age 66 of Lincoln Park passed away at 7:30pm, Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital. In addition to his parents his passing was preceded by six sisters: Samantha, Ailene, Virgie, Maudie, Fostine, and Rose; and two brothers: Russell and Theodore. He leaves to cherish his memory his two children: Mae Issac and Russell Isaac both of Lincoln Park; one grandson: Christopher; three sisters: Mary Johnson of Logan, Ohio, Martha Adams of Dayton, Ohio, and Jetti Crall of Tennessee; and two brothers: Travis (Justine) Isaac of Lincoln Park and Joseph (Ethe) Isaac of Indiana. Friends gathered on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of His Life followed on Thursday, June 9, 2011 and procession followed to Cadillac Memorial Gardens West in Westland for his final rest.
