Mark Gene Eshenroder was born in Monroe, Michigan on April 4, 1943. He was the son of the late Lyle Eshenroder and the late Irma (Boehm) Deinzer. He was a graduate of Monroe High School.
He married Janice Johnson on September 24, 1966 in Monroe. From this union came the son: Rodney Eshenroder of Monroe, and three grandchildren: Tannor, Tess, and Emily Eshenroder of Monroe.
For seventeen years, Mark worked at La-Z-Boy Chair Company. For the next twenty three years he was employed as an iron worker / fitter at Detroit Edison before retiring in the year 2001.
Mark was passionate about his faith and was a life long member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Monroe. He was an avid softball player playing all over the state and was a member of the Southern Michigan Umpired Association. Mark loved to camp outdoors and he hunted and fished for anything that moved. He also enjoyed playing cards. He loved his family including his son and grandchildren who he loved to spoil.
Mark Gene Eshenroder 67, of Monroe passed quietly away at 3:20 am, Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Magnum of Monroe (Tender Care) of Progressive Supra Necular Palsy (PSP). He is survived by three brothers; Jay (Barb) Eshenroder, Randy (Janet) Eshenroder, and Don (Nancy) Eshenroder.
Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 8:00pm, Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. He will lie in state at Trinity Lutheran Church, 323 Scott Street (corner of Third and Scott) on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 from 10:00am until a Celebration of His Life at 11:00am. The Reverend Karl Fuhlbrigge will officiate. Procession will follow to Roselawn Memorial Park for burial.
