Obituary of Carlos Allen

Carlos Robert Allen October 17, 1922 - July 13, 2010 Carlos Robert Allen was born in Wappapello, Missouri on October 17, 1922. He was the son of the late George Robert Allen and the late Jenny Melvinia (Bounds) Allen. Carlos served his country honorably during World War II as a member of the United States Army. He married the love of his life the former Maudie Etolia (George) on April 22, 1946 in Piggot, Arkansas. Together they would share more than sixty-four years or marriage. The young family would move to St. Charles, Missouri in 1958. Carlos was a self-employed farmer for many years. He also worked as a laborer in the manufacturing field. He was employed by Missouri Research making hardened bolts for the aircraft industry. He had also previously worked for St. Charles Metal Finishing. In December of 2008, Carlos and Maudie moved to Newport to be near their son. On Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 10:38pm; Carlos Robert Allen age 87 passed away in the emergency room of Mercy Memorial Hospital in Monroe, Michigan. Carlos leaves to cherish his memory a beloved wife Maudie and son Larry both of Newport. Cremation has taken place through Roselawn Memorial Park Crematory in LaSalle, Michigan. Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185 was entrusted with his arrangements. His cremains will be laid to rest at a later date at Woodland Cemetery in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
