Edward Charles Reinhardt
October 23, 1955 - January 8, 2010
Edward Charles Reinhardt was born in Delray, Michigan on October 23, 1955. Edward was one of two children born form the union of the late Edward Bernard Reinhardt and Madeline (Gassman) Reinhardt. Edward grew up in Monroe and he was a 1973 graduate of Monroe High School.
For more than seventeen years Edward worked for Oering Drilling in Flat Rock as a laborer. After their closing he took employment with the Kroger Company working at the South Monroe Street store. He performed many tasks at the store, but most of all Edward enjoyed the contact with customers and the relationships he developed with his fellow employees.
Edward enjoyed the outdoors and was a talented softball player. He had played on many leagues and for many teams over the years. Edward had also served as a scorekeeper at the Frenchtown Township Kiwanis Park for the past few years. He was an avid baseball fan and always appreciated the opportunity to catch a game. Edward enjoyed collecting baseball cards and attending card shows. He enjoyed the company of his four cats. Edward will probably be most remembered for his compassion towards others, his easy going personality, and his desire to lend others a helpful hand.
Edward Charles Reinhardt age 54 of Monroe passed away peacefully on Friday morning; January 8, 2010 in Monroe. His passing was preceded by his father on September 11, 2004.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother: Madeline Reinhardt of Monroe and his brother: Michael Reinhardt of Lambertville.
